Campus Games & HCASC Club
Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC) is an evergreen and campus-wide activity. It brings together the whole campus community -- students, faculty, administration and alumni. The Q & A game combines academic material, popular culture and sports in a format emphasizing quick recall. African American history and culture is prominently featured in the questions.
The HCASC season involves two levels of play-- Campus Games and the National Championship.
- Through Power Search recruitment and live campus play, undergraduate students try out in the fall.
- Top players are invited to join the HCASC Academic Club. The club meets for practice and social events.
- After the holiday break, the coach names the NCT Team (four players).
- Optional Pre-NCT Tournaments held in February give players a real-time test of their skills as they meet the competitors from other HBCUs.
- Forty-eight HBCUs qualify to attend the National Championship Tournament, held March 30 - April 3, 2012 in Los Angeles, California.
HCASC is serious fun, and it is a rewarding experience for one and all.
