Make the participants feel special!
Make the players feel special and show that you appreciate their time and effort.
Nameplates may seem a luxury, but your Reset/Announcer or Judge will thank you.
Certificates for players and volunteers are important. It creates a sense of belonging and accomplishment.
Other "rewards"
HBCU presidents are supportive of their institutions efforts. Ask him or her for support:
Letters of appreciation for volunteers
Recognition of players at convocations
